Moving (in)house

When we were preparing for MissyMoo3's arrival, Hubby and I toyed with the idea of re-arranging the house to fit everyone in a bit better. But, for the sake of our sanity, we decided not to do anything straightaway, and to just see how things panned out after MissyMoo3 was born.

Yesterday, for the sake of our sanity, we rearranged the house.

Hubby and I now have our bedroom downstairs in what was our second living area. This has meant that the MissyMoos now each have their own bedroom upstairs. This in turn has meant a lot less clutter in the lounge room, as the toys have been divided between the three children's bedrooms. I love it!

As part of the move, MissyMoo2 (2) has now moved on from her toddler bed into a big girl bed! And the toddler bed has been transformed back into a cot for MissyMoo3 (3 months). No more bassinet!

It was an exercise requiring a lot of planning and preparation and it all went well on the day. Hubby and Par did a lot of lifting of furniture up and down the stairs, Nonna looked after the MissyMoos and I moved some not-so-heavy stuff. Then MissyMoo1 (5) and MissyMoo2 went over to Nonna and Par's for a sleep-over so Hubby and I could carry on with organising all the rooms.

It was so weird sleeping in a different room. Good weird. It felt like we were in a different, bigger house. Going upstairs to feed MissyMoo3 through the night wasn't too bad either. There will be some inconveniences, but I think it will be good for us in many ways. And, after only a day, it feels like my legs are more toned already!
